AT Assignment 2 BrailleTouch

BrailleTouch Application/Sofware

BrailleTouch is an application that can be installed on Apple and Android devices. It is based on the Braille writing system, it uses a system that is controlled with six fingers and does not require the users to move their hands. This Braille writing system for touch screen phones and tablets/ipad claims a typing speed of up to six times faster than existing method.Touchscreens have brought great hope to individuals that are visually impaired because of the great versatility they offer. 

The user holds the mobile device away from them in landscape mode, and using six fingers over the six "buttons" they can type based on vibration feedback. The user however, needs to know how to type Braille in order to use to application. The application is cost free and the designers are working in perfecting the system and making it available to the general public as well.
